CT250 has launched a statewide celebration marking the 250th anniversary of American independence. Events planned across Connecticut include a nationwide bell ringing on July Fourth, Revolutionary War reenactments, maritime festivals, and large public gatherings in many Connecticut communities. Organizers say all 169 Connecticut municipalities are being encouraged to take part in the commemoration highlighting the state’s role in the Revolutionary War and the nation’s founding.
