Ridgefield residents head to the polls today to vote on a proposed 181 million dollar town budget for the next fiscal year. The spending plan would increase the budget by about 3-point-6 percent and raise the town’s mill rate to 28-point-36 if approved. School spending accounts for nearly 124 million dollars of the proposal, while voters will also decide on several capital projects, including road improvements on Ridgebury Road. Voting runs until 8 p-m at Yanity Gym.
