A fundraiser has so far collected more than $47,000 for the family of 31 year old Phillipe Silva of Danbury, who died following a July motorcycle crash on Newtown Road. Police say Silva’s motorcycle struck a car turning into a driveway July 16. He died 11 days later. The fundraiser has a $70,000 goal and will help cover funeral expenses.
