Connecticut is awarding $10.6 million to 41 special education programs statewide. The new grant program is designed to expand in-district services and reduce costly out-of-district placements. Bethel and Brookfield will receive a combined $500,000, while Newtown is receiving more than $265,000 and Ridgefield $350,000.
