Warm weather and Father’s Day crowds led to the temporary closure of Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield on Sunday after its parking lot filled to capacity. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the park closed to new visitors before noon and was among seven Connecticut state parks affected by heavy attendance.
