EPA Awards Funding To Reduce Sewage Overflows In Connecticut

The Environmental Protection Agency is allocating more than $1 POINT 5 million to help communities in Connecticut reduce sewage overflows and improve stormwater systems. The funding is part of a larger nationwide grant program aimed at upgrading aging infrastructure. Officials say the improvements will help prevent untreated wastewater from reaching local waterways, especially during heavy storms. Priority will be given to smaller and financially strained communities.
