The Candlewood Lake Authority is calling for volunteer boat captains to take part in a lake wide cleanup set for May 16. Participants must register in advance and provide their own crews, with no pairings offered on-site. Supplies will be handed out between 9 and 10 in the morning at the New Fairfield Town Park boat launch, with trash collection wrapping up around noon followed by lunch. All crew members are required to complete a waiver before joining the effort.
