Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield closed to new visitors early Sunday after its parking areas reached capacity. State environmental officials say the park stopped admitting vehicles around 8:15 in the morning. Squantz Pond was one of eight Connecticut state parks that reached capacity and temporarily closed to additional visitors.
