Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says it has made major progress in speeding up permits, grant processing and regulatory reviews through its 20BY26 initiative. The agency says it has cut its backlog of older permit applications by 78 percent, improved permit turnaround times and expanded online tools to make environmental permitting and payments faster and more efficient.
