Four Connecticut state parks closed to new visitors Monday after reaching capacity. Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield was not among them and remained scheduled for supervised swimming through Labor Day. The closures affected Silver Sands in Milford, Sleeping Giant in Hamden, Wadsworth Falls in Middletown and Millers Pond in Haddam. Sunny weather brought heavy holiday crowds to parks statewide.
