Eversource says year-round investments in grid upgrades, vegetation management and storm planning are helping strengthen electric reliability as the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season gets underway. The utility says trees account for more than 90 percent of storm-related outages across its service area, making tree trimming and hazard tree removal a key part of its preparedness efforts. Customers are also encouraged to create emergency plans, assemble storm kits and prepare for potential power outages during severe weather.
