Nearly 100 new Connecticut laws take effect October 1. They include disclosure rules for employers using artificial intelligence to screen applicants, protections involving immigration arrests at schools and hospitals, and tougher distracted-driving penalties in highway work zones. Out-of-state medical marijuana patients will also be allowed to buy products in Connecticut.
