Connecticut has joined a national coalition focused on growing the outdoor recreation economy and expanding access to outdoor activities. The state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the move connects Connecticut with more than 20 other states working on conservation, tourism, workforce training, and park improvements. State leaders say Connecticut’s outdoor recreation economy is valued at about 6 billion dollars and supports more than 50-thousand jobs statewide.
