34 year old Jerome Burns of Danbury set a personal best at the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest by eating 27 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. The professional trumpeter finished 11th in the competition at Coney Island, improving on last year’s total of 23.
